Ali Pur Ka Aili By Mumtaz Mufti

Ali Pur Ka Aili is Mumtaz’s mufti autobiography in the form of novel fiction. It is a continuous semi-autobiographical novel that describes Mumtaz Mufti’s entire life cycle. It consists of two parts. This part of the biography covers the trials and tribulations of the early phase of its protagonist’s life.

According to Ibn-e-Insha, the book became famous because it did not receive the Adam G Award, but it was nevertheless well-received in literary circles and the literary status of the eminent mufti became stronger than ever.

Mumtaz Mufti (ممتاز مفتی)

Mumtaz Mufti is known as an important novelist and one of the most famous, beloved, and controversial Pakistani Urdu writers in the tradition of Urdu fiction. He did many experiments at the level of subject, material, and technique. His fiction deals with particularly serious psychological issues.

Mumtaz Mufti also wrote a huge novel called ‘Alipur Ka Eli’ and some other popular books like Labbaik, Aili Pur Ka Aili, Talaash, and Alakh Nagri. He was extremely popular for his books (novels).

Ali Pur Ka Aili Novel Summary

Ali Pur Ka Aili (علی پور کا ایلی) is the autobiography of Mumtaz Mufti (Eli) describing the first phase of his life. In 1961, Ali Pupur Aili was published as a novel. This autobiographical novel was nominated for the Adam G Literary Award. Despite the controversy of the Adamjee award, it did not win the award.

The main character of the book is Elias Eli( الیاس ), who is the author himself. While the author did not reveal this at first (he did so in 1995) Many real aspects of life are clear in it, just as the Asifi family is really the Mufti family, so the real names of the places have been written.

The theme of an autobiographical novel contains two parts. “First part Mumtaz Mufti rebelled against his father in the first place”. “The second is to understand how women think and know about women’s psychology”. There is no specific plot in the story. This novel revolves around its centric character, who is the author.

Most of the events and main characters in the story are based on reality. The rest of the characters are a mixture of fact and fiction.

When you start reading Alipur ka Ailee / علی پور کا ایلی, you might think it is a very boring book. As you read on, it starts to feel a little better. Just like that, if you put a stone on your heart and finish it in three or four days, then it seems like it’s time to leave. But after a while, the words of the Mufti feel like the ticking of a clock and knocking at your heart and mind. I think there was something in this book similar to a medicine that takes effect after a while and causes man to lose his sanity.

The book is forced to be re-read and then the reader begins to spend day and night with the Mufti. Then the Mufti’s pen becomes his eyes. Mufti Sahib writes but the reader sees and feels and the reader’s own situation is lost in Mufti Sahib’s past. He feels that the Mufti is throwing pebbles in the pond but the waves are rising inside him. After all, it is not an easy task to capture someone’s life in a few days.

The sexual aspect of this novel is prominent. Its characters present us with one or more aspects of sex. However, it does not involve nudity, obscenity, or pleasure. The purpose of “Alipur Ka Eli” deserves to be considered as one of the top Urdu novels due to its various virtues.

Initially, this Book Ali Pur ka Aili was thought to be a novel, but it was later discovered that it was actually the story of his life. His book Alakh Nagri describes the latter half of his life.
